Being of Irish and Scottish descent, Brian McKee grew up with the music of the bagpipes all around him, and started playing himself in 1975. In that time, he has played for members of royalty, television commercials, movies, and hundreds of weddings and funerals. He's even played weddings held in the Northwest Highlands in Scotland.
Brian currently heads the Bagpipe Corps at Providence Catholic High School.
Regular engagements include playing with the Chicago Stock Yard Kilty Band and playing with the well-regarded Irish folk music group The Chieftans when they make their annual appearance at the Symphony Center in Chicago.
