Rachel has been a musician for over 20 years and continues to play every day. Rachel first got into music in second grade when there was an assembly at her school for the orchestra program. She started playing violin that year. Rachel continued to play violin solely, until 7th grade when her appetite for music grew. She dabbled in other instruments and started teaching violin at age 14. By the time Rachel graduated high school she was able to play violin, piano, guitar, and bass. Violin always was her first instrument and she was involved in several orchestras including MYSO (Metropolitan Youth Symphony Orchestra) out of Lewis University. She would continue to play and teach violin after high school mainly playing with other local musicians. Her love for teaching led her to teach for a total of 9 years. Rachel is eager to bring to gift and joy of music to new students young or old.
